The Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) offers an array of Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) and Vocational Rehabilitation Services to students* and youth with disabilities between the ages of 14-24 years old. To refer individuals interested in these services and programs offered by DARS, the individual or their representative will need to provide basic contact information to the agency that is used in a confidential manner.

This information will be reviewed once it has been received through the on-line referral process and forwarded to the appropriate field office for follow-up based on the location information provided.

DRS supports are a voluntary service. If you are eligible, DRS is here to help you remove barriers to employment.

You should begin talking with your DRS Transition Counselor about 3 years before you plan to leave high school.
However, if you have unique circumstances or requests for services, you may call your DRS Counselor at any point.
