Sometimes adult abuse is hiding in plain sight

Virginia Adult Protective Services’ (APS) public awareness campaign highlights its online reporting portal. The APS portal is a simple, confidential way to make a report of suspected adult abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

Anyone suspecting adult abuse is encouraged to make a report by any of these three ways:

  1. File an online report
  2. Contact your local department of social services office
  3. Call the 24/7 toll-free hotline at (888) 832-3858
